Maintenence Technician - Dove Valley
About the role
Greystar is a leading real estate platform offering property management, investment management, development, and construction services in institutional-quality rental housing. This Maintenance Technician role is based in Englewood, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Follows procedures for accessing and returning materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.
- Documents service requests and other paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as trash pickup, pressure washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting initiatives by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards are met.
Physical Demands
Incumbents need to be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas. They must also work inside and outside in all weather conditions, push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance. Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties, attend training classes, business meetings, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Incumbents must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).
Pay
The hourly range for this role is $23 - $24. Additional compensation includes a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions. The role may also be eligible for a 6-week paid sabbatical after 10 years of service (and every 5 years thereafter), a 401(k) with Company Match up to 6% of pay after 6 months of service, and various other benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid time off, housing discounts, parental leave, fertility benefit reimbursement, employee assistance program, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, legal plans, charitable giving program, and benefits.
