Maintenence Director

About the role

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the general and preventive maintenance of the physical plant and grounds to assure the facility is maintained according to policy and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility and department are maintained as required by regulation.
• Request, approve, and order supplies according to policy.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining infection control, waste disposal, and Universal Precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment and adherence to aseptic and isolation techniques.
• Oversee Maintenance Service department employees on a daily basis.
• Orient new employees to maintenance duties.
• Maintain building appearance and accessibility for residents and staff by managing lawn and shrubs, snow removal, and litter/debris pickup.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Previous long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in basic repair and maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting preferred.
