Maintenance Worker TMR

Facility: McAuley Residence SNF Sub Acute • Full Time (1.0 FTE) • SEIU Local 1199 bargaining unit • Non-exempt

Schedule

• Evenings with weekend and holiday rotation: 4:00 pm to 12:00 am
• Rotating on-call duty

About the role

Maintains facility, equipment, and grounds in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
• Use various power tools safely and efficiently
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Apply basic math skills as needed
• Handle equipment with sufficient dexterity
• Drive as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid NY State driver’s license preferred
• Two years’ experience in building and maintenance preferred

Working Conditions

• Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, kneeling
• Heavy lifting up to 40 pounds
• Work in cramped areas
• Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and power-equipment hazards
• Intermittent exposure to unpleasant physical conditions, chemicals, and hazardous materials
• Subject to environmental temperature extremes
