Requirements

• Maintain satisfactory attendance record, subject to the requirements of the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Be in good physical health, capable of lifting 75 lbs. (repeatedly), and able to work days, nights and weekends when necessary
• Secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent
• Three years of experience performing carpentry, plumbing, drywall, and minor electrical repairs
• Valid Class G Drivers Licence and satisfactory driver’s abstract
• Proficiency using computer applications, including GIS, MS Office, i.e. Word, Excel & Outlook
• Operation of Small Drinking Water Systems Certificate within 3 months of the offer of full-time employment and maintain this certificate

The successful candidate must possess a secondary school graduation diploma. The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary school diploma in a related field of study i.e., mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, horticulture, forestry, and or equivalent education

Skills

• Ability to operate computerized building management systems
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, machinery, equipment, water systems and custodial duties
• Experience operating County vehicles, snow removal, salting/sanding and grounds maintenance equipment
• Ability to undertake cleaning & garbage removal and minor repairs, including carpentry, painting, drywall, etc.
• Ability to work overtime from time to time, including on-call rotation

Pay

$52,318.50 to $61,191.00 yearly

Schedule

Hours of Work: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week – on-call rotation)

Primary Location

97 Thomas Street East – various County buildings in Lennox & Addington and Prince Edward County
