About the role
The City of Grand Island is seeking a temporary Maintenance Worker for the Parks Department located in Grand Island, NE 68801.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the maintenance and repair of parks, grounds, and facilities
- Operates light equipment and hand tools
- Mows grass, trims shrubs, removes litter, and performs general groundskeeping duties
- Assists with building and facility maintenance
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Valid driver's license
- Must be at least 16 years of age
