JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete the set-up and takedown of equipment from events and return the building to its original condition before and after each event.
  • Enforce the rules of the Omni Center in regards to the general public by ensuring their safety when on the premises.
  • Recognize any problems with regards to the building, its contents, equipment, or supplies and report any questionable changes to the supervisor or maintenance lead by written or verbal communication.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the ice, which includes resurfacing, flooding, patching and edging as well as any other duties deemed necessary.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the building to maintain the best possible condition. Duties include, but are not limited to, bathroom cleaning and restocking, floor care, windows, and custodial cleaning, as well as some outside maintenance.
  • Performs the opening procedures for the building during events as well as properly securing the building each night, as needed.
  • Assure any customers or prospective customers needs are met during the course of an event to the best of ability or seek advice from the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the building and surrounding grounds.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and establish effective working relationships with the general public, associates, volunteers, and staff; and have the ability to calmly approach and solve problems under stressful circumstances; maintain and promote harmony in the workplace; ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and be flexible.
  • Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work as needed or requested.
  • Assistance is given to others and special projects to be completed as scheduled or requested.

Job Requirements

  • Must be minimum of 16 years old.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Compensation

The wage range for this seasonal, limited-term position is $11.00 to $14.00 per hour depending on qualifications and budget. Flexible scheduling available. There are no benefits associated with limited-term positions.
