About the role

This position involves performing minor grounds maintenance, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and participating in bus evacuation drills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures entrances and exits are clear of debris.
• Maintains sidewalks clear of ice and snow.
• Maintains surfaces under playground structures according to safety requirements.
• Trains children and youth on safe bus evacuation procedures.
• Notifies supervisor of hazards and malfunctions.
• Works both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Operates vehicles in a controlled traffic environment.
• Performs tasks in a kitchen setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license or CDL with no restrictions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in grounds maintenance and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two-page resume required.
• Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements.
• One-year probationary period may be required.
• Background checks and immunizations required.
• Drug-free workplace policy applies.
• May be subject to random drug tests.
• Must sign DA Form 5019-R.

Pay

The position is covered by the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system and does not apply the Dual Compensation Guidelines.

Schedule

Rotating shifts between 06:00 AM and 06:00 PM, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
