About the role
This position involves performing minor grounds maintenance, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and participating in bus evacuation drills.
Responsibilities
- Ensures entrances and exits are clear of debris.
- Maintains sidewalks clear of ice and snow.
- Maintains surfaces under playground structures according to safety requirements.
- Trains children and youth on safe bus evacuation procedures.
- Notifies supervisor of hazards and malfunctions.
- Works both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Operates vehicles in a controlled traffic environment.
- Performs tasks in a kitchen setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver’s license or CDL with no restrictions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience in grounds maintenance and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Two-page resume required.
- Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Background checks and immunizations required.
- Drug-free workplace policy applies.
- May be subject to random drug tests.
- Must sign DA Form 5019-R.

Pay
The position is covered by the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system and does not apply the Dual Compensation Guidelines.
Schedule
Rotating shifts between 06:00 AM and 06:00 PM, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
