About the Role

All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in a manner that supports KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance. This role maintains buildings and equipment, performs minor plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC repairs, and handles building and grounds maintenance and security duties. The position also requires serving on the fire brigade team and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate good human relation skills using the principles of KHI’s values and expectations.

  • Complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Use good judgment while problem-solving and developing solutions.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions and educational programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Prioritize and complete daily assignments.
  • Work flexible shifts based on business needs.
  • Serve on the Fire Brigade and Hazmat Team.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration repairs.
  • Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (must provide Diploma or Official Transcripts upon hire).
  • Valid US Driver’s License (must be 21 years of age or older).
  • Five years of maintenance experience or equivalent education.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of hand and machine tools.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of landscaping.
  • Knowledge of minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Knowledge of minor IT controls.
  • Effective personal customer relations skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.

Work Requirements

  • Must be able to squeeze with hands at 75 psi.
  • 90%–100% of the time incumbent is standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching in daily functions.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder several times per day.
  • Must be able to lift 50 to 70 pounds.
  • Must have a good sense of smell to distinguish potentially hazardous materials.
