This position is within the Facilities Management department, focusing on general maintenance across a variety of areas. The Maintenance Worker II demonstrates competency in a broad range of maintenance tasks.
Schedule
- Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Full-time, benefits eligible. Snowplow and forklift experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine to moderately complex maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing damaged walls or floors.
- Assists with the installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests and provides immediate assistance to resolve issues.
- Works independently or under the supervision of a facilities management leader.

Requirements
- Experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the skills listed above.
- Willingness to work hard and learn.
- Some experience working in a healthcare setting.
- A valid driver’s license may be required.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment, and assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions requiring clear communication and understanding of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment, including frequent computer, phone, and cable setup.
- Expected to lift and use full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment, including heavy items.
- Work on hands and knees, bend, stoop, crawl, lay, sit, walk, climb, and use hand and power tools.
- For roles requiring driving: sit for extended periods, see and read signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, noisy or constricted spaces, and odors.
Pay
Hourly rate: $24.10 – $36.68, dependent upon experience.
