Nature and Variety of Work
Performs laboring duties at a county landfill such as:
- Cleaning buildings and grounds
- Directing trucks at the working base of the landfill
- Cutting grass
- Related duties
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Grass Cutting
- Roadside litter pick-up
- Cleaning buildings
- Maintaining grounds
- Lifting up to 90 lbs. alone
- Lifting up to 180 lbs. with partner
- Digging ditches
- Proficiency operating a Chain Saw, Pole Saw, Weed-Wacker, Tamper, and/or Lawnmower
- Directing traffic/trucks
Minimum Qualifications
- Sufficient education to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- A valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license
Supplemental Qualifications
- Experience with Cleaning buildings
- Maintaining grounds
- Lifting up to 90 lbs. alone
- Lifting up to 180 lbs. with partner
- Experience Directing traffic/trucks
- Experience and proficiency operating a Weed-Wacker and Lawnmower
- Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
