About the role
The City of Waxahachie is seeking a Maintenance Technician I/II to join their Utilities Department. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city-owned equipment and facilities.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education, Training, And Experience: High School diploma or GED. Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance. Six months minimum of mechanical experience.
- Licenses And Certifications: Valid state driver's license required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. Possession and ability to maintain an appropriate valid minimum Class D Wastewater Operator, and a Class D Water Operator License issued by the State of Texas.
