What You’ll Do
- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple Salvation Army properties, including:
- Facilities & Grounds Maintenance
- General repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support
- Maintain floors (buffing, cleaning, and general upkeep)
- Conduct groundskeeping, mowing, landscaping, and snow removal
- Assist with room setups and teardowns for operations and program needs (fixtures, displays, furniture, etc.)
- General Support
- Afford assistance with moving furniture, boxes, store fixtures, and donated materials
- Accompany vendors/contractors as needed
- Drive a Salvation Army vehicle to pick up supplies or deliver items
- Perform additional maintenance tasks as needed based on daily priorities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, snow blowers, carpet cleaners, and buffers
- Basic electrical and painting skills
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a clear MVR and have a valid driver’s license
- Regular physical activity, including:
- Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and kneeling
- Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Working in indoor and outdoor environments depending on the property
- Daily or weekly travel between local Salvation Army properties is required using agency vehicles.
