Maintenance Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC) across campus facilities
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and grounds for safety and maintenance needs
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for school events and activities
• Monitor and replenish supplies (cleaning products, light bulbs, filters, etc.)
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and administration
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors when specialized services are needed
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in building maintenance, custodial work, or related field
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate maintenance equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
