Maintenance Worker
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance to all Campus buildings
- Respond to work orders assigned by work order system and by verbal communication
- Aid other handy people and tradespeople with work-related tasks when requested
- Paint as needed
- Absorb in office moves as needed
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned within the Facilities Department’s scope of work
Required Skills/Abilities
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends in emergency situations and for various special events
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be organized and handle multiple tasks
- Valid NYS driver license
Qualifications
- Ability to safely use common power tools
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of general maintenance experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift to 80 pounds and over routinely
- Prolonged periods of physical labor
Pay
This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $17.00.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week
