Your Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and regularly inspect facilities to identify safety or repair needs.
- Aid with groundskeeping duties such as mowing, trimming, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance and mechanical areas.
- Install, assemble, move, or repair furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies across agency locations.
- Communicate effectively with program staff, supervisors, vendors, and contractors regarding maintenance work.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in facility maintenance, building repair, or related trades preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems (must be clearly indicated on your resume).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- A valid NYS driver’s license with 2 years of driving experience required.
