Maintenance Worker

About the role

Maintain building mechanical equipment, perform repairs on building components, fabricate or repair machine tools, and complete general and semi-skilled maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, electrical work, and plumbing. Provide yard maintenance, including snow removal, and use a variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment (inspect belts, check fluid and oil levels, replace filters, grease bearings and seals, repair or replace broken parts).
• Repair all building components and equipment.
• Fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.
• Complete a wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities (e.g., carpentry, painting, electrical, changing light bulbs) within established time frames.
• Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Provide yard maintenance, including snow removal.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
• Set up and safely operate a variety of machine tools.
• Perform other related duties to ensure the efficient functioning of the work unit.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Experience maintaining CNC machines (preferred).
• Experience operating a forklift (preferred).
• Experience operating a scissor lift (preferred).

Skills

• Knowledge of CNC machines.
• Physical stamina and dexterity; ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, talk, and hear throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• High level of initiative and results-driven.
• Extremely ethical with strong communication proficiency.
• Ability to adhere to all safety practices.
