Maintenance Utility Worker

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Aid the fleet shop when needed.
• Collaborate with fleet shop and night warehouse management to prepare equipment for use.
• Follow FSQA schedule to wash trailers.
• Keep the parking lot clean and debris-free.
• Support the night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, understand, and write simple instructions and memos.
• Effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of driving and backing tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Sit occasionally.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
