Job Description
The Maintenance Utility Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to maintaining and operating utility systems within the school district. This includes but is not limited to:
- Inspecting and testing water, steam, and gas systems to ensure proper operation.
- Maintaining and repairing plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
- Overseeing the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Assisting in the repair and replacement of electrical components and wiring.
- Responding to emergency calls to address urgent maintenance needs.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in a similar maintenance position.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems.
- First aid and CPR certification.
