Maintenance Utility Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Utility Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to maintaining and operating utility systems within the school district. This includes but is not limited to:

• Inspecting and testing water, steam, and gas systems to ensure proper operation.
• Maintaining and repairing plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
• Overseeing the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Assisting in the repair and replacement of electrical components and wiring.
• Responding to emergency calls to address urgent maintenance needs.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a similar maintenance position.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• First aid and CPR certification.
