Principal Accountabilities
- Open the center doors daily and on Saturdays turn on lights and x-ray machine.
- Clean around the building including removing all trash away from the entrance, sidewalk, and parking lot.
- Replacement of hand soap, toilet seats, and urinal screens with sanitizer.
- Pick up sharps or red containers from designated area.
- Pack and label bio-hazard waste.
- Daily check of the roof and the roof’s drain (very important).
- Refill dispensers with hand towels.
- Routine cleaning of all restrooms, hallways, and waiting areas, which includes mopping and cleaning of dirty chairs.
- Replace lights bulbs when necessary, fixing picture frames and equipment.
- Order housekeeping supplies and fuel oil.
- Keeping/distribution of in-house supplies, i.e., referrals, printer labels, liquid nox, wavercide, etc.
- In charge of the fire-fighting equipment at the scene of fire and the burglar alarm.
- Banking for center’s co-pay and postal service, which includes stamping letters.
- Helping patients in wheelchairs.
- Assisting patients walking up/down stairs.
- Directing patients to their proper department.
- Shoveling snow, clearing pathway to the entrance/exit and around the building, applying salt on snow.
- Repairs/Problems solving for center’s maintenance, if beyond control; contact HIP Facilities Department i.e. indoor temperature, boiler, plumbing, air conditioner, floods, leaks and electric problems.
- Shredding patients’ sensitive and confidential documents.
- Receiving incoming packages- check/sign, arrange boxes received.
- Supply the staff and doctors with stationary and medical supplies.
- Open and close medicine refrigerator closet and check all doors and machines before leaving the center.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (updated per MG 8 22 17)
- Previous Maintenance Experience – 1 year (updated per MG 8 22 17)
