Maintenance / Repairs

Major Responsibilities And Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and daily inspections of equipment.
• Follow all maintenance procedures and complete documentation.
• Complete maintenance records and submit as required.
• Analyze and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Follow district policies and safety regulations.
• Affords assistance with snow removal as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure a well-maintained, clean, orderly, and safe environment.

Fleet/PM Grounds Mechanic (non-certified)

• Perform routine maintenance and daily inspections on grounds equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Perform maintenance repairs on snow equipment, including mowers, tractors, skid steers, versa-handlers, etc.

Irrigaon

• Analyze and resolve irrigation problems to ensure operational status.
• Inspect irrigated areas to ensure adequate soaking and prevent water waste.
• Install, adjust, maintain, and repair irrigation systems to ensure lawns are well-watered.
• Out watering equipment for lawns, trees, and flower beds without irrigation systems to ensure all lawns/vegetation are watered.
• Affords assistance with determining irrigation maintenance procedures and budget to ensure smooth operation of the irrigation area.
• Maintains own hand tools so they are available for use.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

• Posture: Some sitting, frequent standing and walking.
• Moon: Frequent walking, reaching, carrying, stooping, kneeling, and pushing/pulling.
• Lying: Up to 50 pounds.
• Environment: Primarily indoors but subject to extreme conditions.
• Mental demands: Maintain focus, decision-making, remain composed under pressure.

Tools/Equipment Used

• Hand tools, standard equipment including district computer and phone.
