About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Unit Leader (Supervisor) to join our Manufacturing Plant in Hopkinsville, KY. Key responsibilities include leading teams in understanding and implementing business strategies, managing resources, developing team and individual development plans, and coordinating maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resources and staffing levels to meet production, compliance, team, and project objectives.
  • Determine and provide for team and individual development based on business needs.
  • Develop and sustain problem-solving, continuous improvement, and decision-making skills.
  • Seek mentoring opportunities for performance improvement and administer rewards, recognition, and consequences.
  • Develop and monitor key, actionable measures linking business unit performance to broader objectives.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and planned maintenance activities with team members and support resources.
  • Develop and share meaningful information to support problem-solving and process improvement efforts.
  • Balance multiple and changing priorities and make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant leadership experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • An associates degree or four (4) years of state-approved apprenticeship.
  • Relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems and Lean Principles within manufacturing.
  • Ability to coach and lead employees in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to draw on knowledge and experience to resolve problems, identify needs, and apply logic/deductive reasoning.
  • Ability to make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to negotiate and build consensus for resource needs, problem-solving, and solutions with peers, subordinates, and management.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree OR four (4) year state approved apprenticeship and at least three (3) years relevant leadership experience.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing or relevant leadership role.
  • Confirmed ability to effectively coach and lead employees in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment.

Pay

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $91,500.00 - $132,750.00.

Schedule

This position is working on 3rd shifts.
