Position Summary
RESRG is seeking a skilled and motivated Tooling Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production tooling and equipment. The Tooling Technician plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of molds, dies, fixtures, jigs, and production tooling.
- Diagnose tooling issues and make necessary adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Assist with tool changeovers, setup verification, and startup activities.
- Inspect tooling components for wear, damage, and performance issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and tooling specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
- Perform machining, grinding, polishing, welding, and fabrication tasks as required.
- Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Recommend tooling improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tooling, maintenance, or automotive manufacturing preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting molds, dies, fixtures, or related production equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in Tool & Die, Industrial Maintenance, Machining, or a related field.
- Experience with injection molding, stamping, assembly, or automotive production processes.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment
The Tooling Technician works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, heat, and industrial chemicals. Proper use of personal protective equipment is required at all times.
