Maintenance Technician - Woodstock, IL

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining all building systems, overseeing preventative maintenance programs, scheduling maintenance, training staff, and addressing resident issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise maintenance and janitorial staff
• Schedule and train maintenance and janitorial staff
• Oversee, supervise, and train staff in the timeliness of work orders and readies
• Follow up on resident issues stemming from work performed in their units
• Report accidents or emergencies to the resident manager
• Work with the property manager to establish schedules and assign personnel for maintenance
• Inspect the property for improvements

Requirements

• Certification in HVAC (AC) repair and recovery
• Excellent all-around carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word (a plus)
• 3-5 years maintenance experience and 3 years supervisory experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills working with residents and staff
• Professional attitude in every aspect of work, positive and enthusiastic attitude
• On-call 24/7, must live in vicinity of the property
• Valid Driver’s License, vehicle, and evidence of current insurance
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with preference for College, Community College, or Trade School Certification

Qualifications

Skills

Must have excellent all-around carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills.
