Maintenance Technician (weekend shift)

About the role

We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Maintenance Technician within our Operations team to support our Automotive business. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day maintenance and operational corrections for the production lines and facility, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and building infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and company maintenance procedures.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and adjust or repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues with the operational equipment that is affecting the quality or output of the production product.
  • Perform and oversee routine maintenance, including inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to systems and equipment with limited supervision and guidance during shift.
  • Execute corrective maintenance on machinery, production equipment, and building components as needed.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, service logs, and equipment performance.
  • Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.
  • Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.

Requirements

  • Must be able to interact with management and other employees to troubleshoot and repair issues with plant production equipment.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial platform lift license.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement.
  • Have capability of working in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred (is a plus).
  • Knowledgeable multi-craft skills (mechanical, electrical, industrial controls, pneumatic, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of computer usage and maintenance work management systems.
  • Prior experience in the trained area in industrial manufacturing.
  • Prior experience in shift leadership over an industrial technical.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $XX - $YY per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

The Maintenance Technician works Friday to Monday from 4:45 am to 3:15 pm.
