Maintenance Technician US
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the servicing, repair, and ongoing upkeep of building and physical assets, ensuring they meet legal requirements and health and safety standards. This position will identify the need for the services of outside contractors for all work beyond their expertise, and collaborate with the Maintenance or General Manager to determine the best course of action.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and follow preventative maintenance on building and electrical and mechanical equipment; identify damage and resolve safety risks
- Respond to maintenance calls, troubleshoot, and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Record equipment and preventative maintenance tasks and work orders
- Maintain inventory of materials, supplies, tools and spare parts and report usage; suggest re-orders to personnel with authority
- Cookordination with members of the Food Safety department to ensure proper record keeping and compliance with Food Safety processes and procedures
- Ensure preventative maintenance and end of life replacement plan for building and equipment assets is followed
- Support scheduling of equipment and service contractors for outsourced equipment maintenance and record keeping of services performed, supporting invoicing verification and processing
- Aid in the equipment development, maintenance, and repairs
- Adhere to industry standards and waste disposal procedures set forth by regulatory agencies
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must have a good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
