About Us

Nirvana Cannabis operates 9 licensed cannabis dispensaries throughout Arizona, along with multiple cultivation and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician who is comfortable traveling between locations and can work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality, safety, and professionalism.

About the Role

The Traveling Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for assigned equipment, buildings, and facilities. Responsibilities may include plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, building fixtures, and other facility systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can prioritize work across multiple locations, respond to maintenance needs efficiently, and communicate effectively with management and facility teams.

Essential Duties

  • Travel between company locations throughout Arizona to complete maintenance and repair work.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and machines to identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues and determine the appropriate repairs or next steps.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other general repairs.
  • Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, shelving, and other building components.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Assist with heating, cooling, and other facility systems as needed.
  • Use building blueprints, equipment manuals, and other documentation when necessary.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
  • Clean and assist with general upkeep of company facilities.
  • Identify potential maintenance issues and communicate concerns to management.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and materials.
  • Order or request supplies and materials needed to complete repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with vendors or specialized technicians when repairs require additional expertise.
  • Maintain records of completed maintenance and repairs as requested.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work based on urgency and business needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Previous maintenance and repair experience required.
  • Ability to travel between multiple company locations as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and senior maintenance personnel.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry, building maintenance, and repair.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance and demeanor.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • MUST HAVE THEIR OWN VEHICLE. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Our facilities operate 365 days a year.
  • MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS necessary to perform general maintenance and repair duties.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Maintenance & Repair Experience – Required.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, tools, and materials as needed.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in awkward or confined spaces.
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely perform physical duties associated with general building maintenance.
