Traveling Maintenance Technician role covering a regional manufactured-home community. 4–7 years of housing-maintenance experience and your own tools required. Weekly pay.
About the role
We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work autonomously, observe all health and safety guidelines, and take pride in the standards and services delivered to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems; conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
- Conduct pest-control activities such as spraying insecticide
- Keep grounds and landscaping in top condition
- Mow, weed-eat, trim hedges, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to it
- Perform general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4–7 years of housing-maintenance experience
- Carpentry skills are a must
- Physically capable of manual labor (lifting, bending, reaching)
- Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Self-supervisory ability and pride in quality work
- Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Negative drug test
- Own maintenance tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Building-maintenance technology or related field experience
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) credential
