Maintenance Technician - The Porter Brewers Hill

Greystar is a leading real estate platform managing and operating over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally. This Maintenance Technician position is located at The Porter Brewers Hill in Baltimore, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Accesses and obtains materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department.
- Documents and tracks service requests in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assists in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
Pay
The hourly range for the position is $22.00 - $24.00. Additional compensation includes participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions.
