Maintenance Technician - The Pointe at Northridge
About the role
Greystar is a leading real estate platform offering property management, investment management, development, and construction services in institutional-quality rental housing. This Maintenance Technician position is located at The Pointe at Northridge in North Salt Lake, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Follows procedures for accessing and returning materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Documents service requests and other paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting initiatives by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and practicing proper tool usage.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and crawling in confined areas.
- Working inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, or maneuvering weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties, attend training classes, or business meetings.
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).
Pay and Benefits
The hourly range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00. Additional compensation may include participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program, as well as various benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and disability & life insurance; paid time off; housing discounts; a 6-week paid sabbatical; a 401(k) with Company Match; parental leave; and legal plans.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance or similar field, and a valid driver’s license (if applicable).
