About the role

Greystar is a leading real estate platform managing and operating over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally. This Maintenance Technician position is located at Meridian Pointe in Burnsville, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
  • Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department.
  • Documents and tracks service requests in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
  • Maintains the grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
  • Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.

Other Responsibilities

  • Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards, scope, and specifications are met.
  • Conducts routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns and communicate physical needs to management.

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
  • Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
  • Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
  • Rare or regular travel may be required.
  • Work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
  • All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
  • CPO certification.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $23.00- $25.00. Additional compensation includes participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions.
