Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance inspection and services as directed.
- Log work and complete and turn in work orders weekly or as directed.
- Perform routine lubrication of plant mechanical equipment.
- Lubricate and inspect parts such as shafts, motor bearings, sprockets, drive chains, gears and pulleys.
- Perform general, non-specialized maintenance tasks related to plant and equipment.
- Perform simple maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Take maintenance calls on floor and assist other maintenance personnel in handling maintenance calls.
- Perform general maintenance welding projects on machines, conveyors, and other equipment using arc, gas, or wire feed welder using safe trade practices and techniques.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years experience working in machine shop or related industry.
- Acquire and maintain forklift, hot work, scissor lift, and Genie boom certification.
- Strong mechanical background, including ability to read blueprints.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required work in a standing position and to pull, push, lift, move, or transport product weighing up to 60 lbs without aid and up to 100+ lbs with the aid of a forklift.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, crouch, reach and grasp.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Warehouse condition: subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes, which can be extreme.
Pay and Schedule
- Pay: $23.75/hr + Quarterly bonus pay!
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Swing shift).
