Maintenance Technician (Swing Shift)

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspection and services as directed.
• Log work and complete and turn in work orders weekly or as directed.
• Perform routine lubrication of plant mechanical equipment.
• Lubricate and inspect parts such as shafts, motor bearings, sprockets, drive chains, gears and pulleys.
• Perform general, non-specialized maintenance tasks related to plant and equipment.
• Perform simple maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Take maintenance calls on floor and assist other maintenance personnel in handling maintenance calls.
• Perform general maintenance welding projects on machines, conveyors, and other equipment using arc, gas, or wire feed welder using safe trade practices and techniques.

Minimum Requirements

• 2 years experience working in machine shop or related industry.
• Acquire and maintain forklift, hot work, scissor lift, and Genie boom certification.
• Strong mechanical background, including ability to read blueprints.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required work in a standing position and to pull, push, lift, move, or transport product weighing up to 60 lbs without aid and up to 100+ lbs with the aid of a forklift.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, crouch, reach and grasp.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
• Warehouse condition: subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes, which can be extreme.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: $23.75/hr + Quarterly bonus pay!
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Swing shift).
