Greystar is a leading real estate platform managing and operating over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally. This Maintenance Technician position is located at Sunnen Station in Maplewood, Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks by diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by conducting pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks, and inspecting work.
- Manages inventory and follows procedures for accessing and returning materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items.
- Documents service requests and other paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting initiatives by fixing rather than replacing parts, using materials efficiently, and correctly using tools and equipment.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
- Inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards, scope, and specifications are met.
- Conducts routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and repair needs and communicate concerns to management.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required.
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $23.00- $26.00. Additional compensation includes participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and benefits such as competitive medical, dental, vision, and disability & life insurance, generous paid time off, and robust benefits package.
