Maintenance Technician - St. Paul (Weekends)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform rounds
  • Conduct routine assessments
  • Perform day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Paint and housekeeping tasks as directed
  • Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors
  • Perform plumbing repairs
  • Carry out preventive maintenance duties
  • Change filters, clean coils, flush condensers, punch tubes, grease fan, pump and motor bearings, inspect and adjust belts, replace motor bearings, align pulleys and shafts, monitor condenser, chilled, heating and secondary water chemical treatment, clean and maintain cooling towers, and perform annual inspections
  • Check for properly operating emergency exit signs and lights
  • Perform additional fire and life safety inspections
  • Document and report activities to supervisor
  • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer concerns
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and directives
  • Complete required safety training annually
  • Adhere to uniform dress code and maintain a neat appearance

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3+ years of related work experience in commercial property settings
  • MUST be a CPO (CERTIFIED POOL OPERATOR)
  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair

Qualifications

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record
  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair
