Maintenance Technician
The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration are seeking a Full Time Days & Evenings Maintenance Technician to serve at their Convent. The ideal candidate is respectable, responsible, reliable, and exhibits mechanical aptitude. Some hours are on 2nd shift.
Requirements
- Ability and stamina to navigate and walk multi-story buildings that cover a significant amount of square footage and the many acres on the property
- A valid driver's license
- Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members
Job Description
Perform preventative, corrective, and condition-based maintenance
Respond to maintenance work orders, troubleshoot equipment failures, and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
Test, adjust, calibrate, and verify equipment performance to ensure optimal operation
Operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance tasks
Follow all safety protocols including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of PPE
Collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance leadership, and cross-functional Teams
Daily Activities
- Building Rounds, including verifications, documentation of temperatures pressures, visual inspections, and adjustments
- Preventative Maintenance activities
- Turning on/off heating and cooling systems
- Property Rounds - access control and visual inspections
- Activities in the Maintenance Shop and Boiler House
- Trash and Laundry Rounds
- Snow removal of some areas in the winter
- Other activities as assigned
Hours
The hours are 7am-3:30pm six days and 3pm-11:30pm four days every two weeks, including every other weekend. Some holidays are required.
