About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the sustainment, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, tools, and fixtures. Drives continuous improvement in all manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes in accordance with all regulatory, industry, customer, and company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues with production including CNC, waterjets, shears, punch presses, ovens, plus auxiliary equipment and make appropriate repairs.
- Ensure that existing equipment and facility operate in optimal conditions through preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Deliver process improvement and cost savings through improved tools, fixtures, equipment modification and improvements, equipment acquisitions, semi-automation of manual processes, etc.
- Work with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to aid transfer of new and existing products into Production and between facilities.
- Be flexible to stay late or modify work hours, on short notice, if production deadlines require it.
Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience working in CNC machining, water jet machining, and sheet metal facilities.
- 3+ years’ experience as a CNC Maintenance Technician.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery using electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Knowledge of aerospace materials.
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
- Experience executing several projects simultaneously.
- Superb verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- NC programming experience desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
