Maintenance Technician - Ruskin Place

About the role

Ready to join Team Timberland? Ruskin Place is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our 270-unit property in Lincoln, NE. You’ll play a key role in providing an outstanding living experience for our residents by taking ownership of general upkeep, unit turns, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high-quality results for resident work requests and day-to-day community maintenance needs.
• Take pride in curb appeal by keeping grounds, amenities, and common areas above quality standards, ensuring a welcoming environment residents are proud to call home.
• Identify and resolve potential safety or upkeep issues, serving as a trusted set of eyes and ears to protect the property and its residents.
• Execute seamless make-readies, repairs, and final checks so new residents walk into a flawless home on day one.
• Provide reliable emergency support on a rotating on-call schedule, ensuring peace of mind for residents when urgent issues arise.
• Champion a culture of safety by following all industry procedures, protecting yourself, your teammates, and the community.

Requirements

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience, residential maintenance experience preferred
• EPA universal license for HVAC required
• CPO license required
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances including washer and dryer
• Experience with turnover “make-ready” of apartments
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer proficiency preferred

Schedule

Monday - Friday and a rotating on-call schedule (additional stipend compensation provided for on-call shifts).

Pay

Pay Range: $24.50 - $25.00/hr + quarterly bonuses based on property performance and exceptional customer service.
