MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ROYAL PARK REHABILITATION AND HEALTH CENTER

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Responsibilities

• Assures maintenance of facility, grounds, and equipment.
• Serves facility equipment, performs minor repairs, and keeps facility free of hazards.
• Maintains whirlpool lift according to a weekly schedule and performs necessary services.
• Lubricates wheelchairs according to a schedule and performs minor repairs as needed.
• Cleans casters on equipment and filters according to a schedule.
• Maintains bedrails and performs repairs as needed.
• Maintains dining room tables to ensure they are level at all times.
• Hangs pictures and connects TVs for patients as needed.
• Maintains downspouts, roof, and maintenance shop to ensure cleanliness.
• Performs minor carpentry repairs, electrical repairs, and plumbing repairs as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of general maintenance.
• Experience in HVAC.
• General computer knowledge for trouble-shooting and using a computer-based software work order system.
• Carries a cell phone and responds to maintenance calls every fourth weekend.
• Willing to work odd hours if an emergency arises.
• Ability to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of how to reset fire alarm panels and pull stations.
• Knowledge of turning off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to the facility.
• Knowledge of the functions of all roof equipment as well as other equipment.
• Willingness to work as Housekeeping Assistant Porter, Laundry Assistant, or Grounds Assistant as needed.
