Maintenance Technician - Residential

About the role

Beacon Management owns and operates 61 residential housing communities across the United States, including Michigan, New York, and Virginia. As a Maintenance Technician at Canterbury Square Apartments in Troy, MI, you will contribute to the physical integrity and curb appeal of the property while delivering responsive maintenance services to residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain property integrity.
• Handle service requests and complete corrections within 24 hours when possible.
• Ensure make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Perform floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain curb appeal by picking up grounds, removing snow and debris, landscaping, and addressing common area needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and locks.
• Current, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance; driving record must meet eligibility requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to develop rapport with residents and community staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
