Maintenance Technician - Preserve at Mesa Creek

About the role

Community Name: Preserve at Mesa Creek. Unit Count: 286. Full‑time position. The Service Technician ensures the appearance and operations of the property are kept in excellent condition, inside and out, and responds to after‑hours emergencies on‑call.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move‑ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Maintain awareness of property condition at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe conditions, reporting any safety concerns to the Service Manager and/or Community Manager.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report emergency work orders promptly.
• Handle 24‑hour emergency maintenance and on‑call responsibilities.
• Perform grounds pick‑up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler‑head replacements when possible.
• Perform routine tasks including making ready units for new move‑ins, performing work orders (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), appliance repairs, unit inspections, updating logs, and exterior maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred.
• CAMT certification preferred but not required.
• CPO certification preferred for properties where applicable based on local regulations and property‑specific operational requirements.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and up‑to‑date vehicle insurance.
• Complete the Wonderlic pre‑employment assessment if minimum qualifications are met during resume screening (assessment sent to the email provided).

Pay

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday. On‑Call Rotation Required.
