Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned preventative maintenance work orders safely and in a timely manner, following maintenance policies and procedures to meet department expectations.
- Complete all assigned work order tasks safely and promptly, documenting work in the CMMS system with all data fields filled out as work is performed.
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of equipment during production operations.
- Apply technical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of machines.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust machines, and document all machine malfunctions in the CMMS system.
- Perform routine visual inspections of machinery and equipment, detecting faulty operations or defective materials and documenting findings.
- Follow safety policies and procedures, including lock out-tag-out, hot work permits, working from heights, and confined spaces.
- Maintain maintenance inventory levels by following storeroom policies and documenting parts consumption.
- Maintain a minimum of 65% work order versus paid hours metric by documenting all work performed.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming, including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- Meet all food safety and quality requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or trade/vocational school diploma; or three years of maintenance-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Willingness to work alternating shifts, including nights and weekends.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, see, talk, and hear.
- Must stand, walk, stoop, or kneel for extended periods.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
- Work environment is usually loud.
