Maintenance Technician Plumber
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician/Plumber performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance duties involving the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of EVIT buildings, grounds, equipment, and plumbing systems. The position supports the safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation of EVIT facilities by performing general building maintenance and serving as the primary resource for plumbing-related repairs and maintenance throughout EVIT campuses.

Schedule
- M-F 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Shift adjustment to 9:00-5 every 8th week
Salary
$24.89 - 31.00 / Hour. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification. There is an additional $3000.00 stipend for plumbing responsibilities, which is spread evenly over the year.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, plumbing, construction, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman plumber license
- Backflow prevention certification
- Specialized training or experience in plumbing, HVAC/R systems, mechanical systems, or electrical maintenance
- Forklift certification
- Refrigerant recovery certification
- Experience working in a public school or government setting
- Completion of vocational or technical training in plumbing
Licensing / Certification And Other Requirements
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Card
- Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957
- Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license
