Maintenance Technician - Per Diem
About the role
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Safety/Risk Management Plans, policies and procedures.
- Affirmatively assist in assuring a safe and risk preventive environment.
- Perform preventive maintenance electrical test as well as the removal, installation and repair of all mechanical/electrical equipment with direct supervision of a supervisor.
- Maintain facility grounds in a neat and attractive appearance.
- Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Education & Licensure (if applicable): High school graduate or equivalent preferred; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Experience: Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Must experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering.
- Additional Skill Requirements: Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire.
