Responsibilities
- Maintenance Assist in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems, including piping, valves, fixtures, and associated components.
- Supporting the installation, calibration, inspection, and ongoing maintenance of facility and clinical operational equipment, including medical and dental devices, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Perform surface preparation and finishing tasks, including drywall repair, patching, taping, texturing, priming, and painting of interior and exterior substrates using appropriate tools, materials, and techniques.
- Assist in the preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, including air handling units and split systems; tasks include filter replacement, belt adjustments, condenser and evaporator coil cleaning, and inspection/testing of electrical components such as capacitors, contactors, and fuses.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain roof drainage systems, including gutters, downspouts, and area drains, to ensure proper water flow and prevent structural damage or water intrusion.
- Safely lift, transport, stage, and install building materials and fixtures, including doors, cabinetry, drywall panels, and ceiling grid/tile systems, utilizing proper rigging techniques and material handling equipment when required.
- Conduct facility condition assessments and communicate findings to management, including identifying deficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and supporting planning for repairs, upgrades, or capital improvements.
- Procure, inventory, and transport tools, materials, and equipment required for maintenance tasks, ensuring proper documentation, storage, and accountability of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Janitorial Support Help maintain clean, safe, and orderly facilities in accordance with quality standards. Use cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in compliance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), manufacturer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. Occasional removal and transporting of waste including general, regulated, and potentially biohazardous materials to designated disposal areas.
- Landscaping Perform planting and removal of vegetation including flowers, shrubs, trees, and grass. Inspect, maintain, and service hardscape areas such as walkways, curbs, and parking lots; remove debris and identify potential trip-and-fall or environmental hazards to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Trim shrubs and trees to promote healthy growth, structural integrity, and aesthetic appearance; perform weed control through manual and mechanical methods.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment to perform mowing, edging, raking, mulching, and seasonal landscape maintenance, ensuring proper care of landscaped areas.
- Mix and apply herbicides, fertilizers, and other landscaping treatments in accordance with manufacturer specifications, SDS guidelines, and regulatory requirements, ensuring safe handling, proper application rates, and environmental compliance.
Safety & Compliance
- Proactively identify, assess, and document workplace hazards, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behaviors; promptly report findings to supervisory personnel in accordance with established incident reporting procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to privacy and security standards, including safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA) for patients, employees, and visitors.
- Operate tools, equipment, and hazardous materials in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and established safety protocols to mitigate risk of injury, property damage, or environmental impact.
- Comply with and enforce established safety programs, including OSHA regulations, infection control procedures, and facility-specific policies; implement immediate corrective actions to address identified hazards or non-compliance.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures related to safety, security, and emergency preparedness, including participation in drills, lockout/tagout procedures, and incident response protocols.
- Perform additional safety and compliance-related duties as assigned, supporting continuous improvement of workplace safety programs and risk management initiatives.
