Maintenance Technician / Part-time (LIL51826)
About the role
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and overall appearance of community properties. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, this role focuses on preventative care, timely repairs, and creating a well-maintained environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on community property and equipment.
- Manage and complete work orders through the work order system.
- Conduct general maintenance, janitorial duties, and groundskeeping.
- Carry out regular inspections of grounds, common areas, and buildings.
- Identify and report needed repairs, improvements, and safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
- Apply knowledge in carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, cleaning, gutters, locks, plumbing, and painting.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
This position requires a strong background in maintenance and a commitment to quality work. Applicants should have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
Skills
Knowledge in carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, cleaning, gutters, locks, plumbing, and painting is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
