Maintenance Technician - (Palmetto, FL)

Primary Role Expectations

• Inspect and verify the safe operation of plant equipment and tools;
• Track maintenance needs of plant and complete repairs in order of priority;
• Communicate with supervisors and team on any down time needs to complete maintenance on equipment, tools, or machinery;
• Develop preventative maintenance schedule;
• Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with the schedule;
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while performing maintenance and repairs, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all lockout-tagout (LOTO) practices;
• Cookordinate with supervisors when 3rd party services are needed to complete repairs;
• Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory;
• Support equipment installations and plant improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Two (2) years of experience performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Demonstrate knowledge of plant equipment and preventative maintenance needs
• Technical skills to complete repairs

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs occasionally
• This position requires walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job
