About the role

Foremost Farms USA is one of the largest dairy cooperatives and manufacturing businesses in the United States. We represent hundreds of Midwest dairy farmers and produce approximately 500 million pounds of cheese and 50 million pounds of butter annually. Responsibilities

  • Maintains and supports the reliability, efficiency, and safety of production equipment and facility systems.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs pumps, valves, power transmission systems, and industrial equipment.
  • Installs, aligns, dismantles, and relocates machinery and equipment.
  • Performs welding, fabrication, and basic carpentry to support operations.
  • Supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Utilizes CMMS to document work and manage parts inventory.
  • Works independently and collaborates with production and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Follows all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash standards.
  • Maintains accurate records in CMMS and completes work orders.
  • Supports inventory control and parts ordering.
  • Communicates equipment status and maintenance updates.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Supports and mentors team members as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical background including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, and welding/fabrication.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related technical field preferred for Electro-Mechanical Technician positions.
  • Strong experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and automation.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, VFDs, and instrumentation.

Pay

$29.63 – $35.63/hour, based on education and years of experience, plus a $1.75/hour shift differential, double-time pay on Sundays and holidays, and 1.5x overtime pay. Additional $1.00/hour for each certification obtained (e.g., advanced welding, steamfitter, or pipefitter certifications).

Schedule

3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM, working every 5th weekend. Rotating holiday schedule.
