About This Opportunity

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician or Electromechanical Technician
POSITION TYPE: Full time
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $28.00 – $36.00/hour, based on education and years of experience, plus a $0.75/hour shift differential and1.5x overtime pay. Earn an additional $1.00/hour for each certification obtained (e.g., advanced welding, steamfitter, or pipefitter certifications).
PM Relief Shift, Normal schedule is 7:00PM - 3:00AM Monday - Friday.
Relief position will cover weekend PTO for other maintenance technicians.
Holiday work is required on a rotating basis.

Position Overview: Maintenance Technician

  • Focuses on broad mechanical maintenance and facility support across multiple systems
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems
  • Troubleshoots and repairs pumps, valves, power transmission systems, and industrial equipment
  • Installs, aligns, dismantles, and relocates machinery and equipment
  • Performs welding, fabrication, and basic carpentry to support operations
  • Supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Utilizes CMMS to document work and manage parts inventory

Position Overview: Electro-Mechanical Technician

  • Focuses on advanced electrical systems, controls, and automation
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and control panels
  • Installs and maintains AC/DC motors, VFDs, and motion control equipment
  • Interprets electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Performs electrical installations and major system repairs
  • Supports automation, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Pairs with engineering and production on complex system issues

Shared Responsibilities (Both Roles)

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance
  • Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash standards
  • Maintain accurate records in CMMS and complete work orders
  • Support inventory control and parts ordering
  • Communicate equipment status and maintenance updates
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Support and mentor team members as needed

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Technical degree or certification preferred
  • Strong mechanical background including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, and welding/fabrication
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance tools
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Additional For Electro-Mechanical Technicians

  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related technical field required
  • Strong experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and automation
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, VFDs, and instrumentation

For Electro-Mechanical Technicians Only

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Education & Experience

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Exposure to noise, temperature changes, and moving equipment
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, and on-call support as needed
