What You’ll Get To Do
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing leaky faucets
- Performing minor repairs such as drywall patching, painting, and carpentry work
- Maintaining the property's grounds, including lawn care, snow removal and cleaning of common areas
- Responding to tenant requests for repairs and maintenance issues
- Conducting regular inspections and identifying potential maintenance issues before they become major problems
- Assisting with major repairs or renovations as needed
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent education required. 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.
- 2 years of maintenance technician experience
- Must have experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general maintenance.
- Previous experience in commercial or multi-unit residential property is desirable. Experience level may vary due to the special needs of the property.
- The position requires effective oral and written communication skills
- Maintains current license/certificate and/or specialized skills in at least one (or more) of the following building trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection or mechanical.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $600, disbursed according to the following schedule: an initial installment after 30 days of employment, a second installment after 3 months, and the remaining balance after 6 months.
The Maintenance Technician will receive general supervision and direction from the Community Manager. The Maintenance Technician will comply with established policies and procedures and not act contrary to such guidelines without Community Manager approval. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for but not limited to:

Pay
Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time Schedule: Monday-Friday
Physical/Working Requirements
- Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures exceeding 90 degrees at times
- Ability to lift 55 pounds independently and support team lift with reasonable accommodations
- This job involves walking and standing for long periods as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and climbing. Working on ladders at varying heights
