Maintenance Technician Off shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Aid in reducing downtime and increasing efficiency during repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Work towards meeting objectives related to production, technology, and resource needs.
• Complete assigned installations, tests, maintenance, and repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Participate in strategies to reduce mechanical downtime and maintain product flow and production.
• Attend maintenance training to stay updated with the latest operating procedures.
• Assist with the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and anticipate problems.
• Ensure maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM schedules are met.
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies while maintaining equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance management systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan work, work independently, and be highly motivated.
• Proficiency in basic math operations and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands

• Frequent exposure to standing, walking, talking, hearing, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
• Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Work environment characterized by noise levels that can be loud.
