The Journey of a Maintenance Technician
Your apprenticeship starts in your local market, where you’ll be paired with a technician for 3-6 weeks to learn the ins and outs of the job. After a successful apprenticeship, you’ll finish your training at our A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ. A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. During the 4-week training, you’ll build upon the skills acquired during your apprenticeship. Once you complete training, you’ll graduate to a junior maintenance technician and perform your duties in the market you chose to work in.
Interview Process
Our interview process is thorough but not long. We want to ensure each person who joins the team is the right fit for A1—and that we’re the right fit for you!
- After reviewing your application, you’ll be contacted for a 45-minute interview with a recruiter if we want to know more.
- Next, you’ll interview with the Area Manager (approximately 30 minutes).
- Finally, you’ll be invited to ride along with one of our technicians to see what life at A1 is really like (plan on a half-day).
